About Richard Milburn Academy
Richard Milburn Academy is a free public charter high school designed to help students who have experienced difficulty in a traditional school setting.
Since we opened our first school in 1998, we have helped nearly 33,200 students complete their high school education. In school year 2008-2009, we served the educational needs of 4,543 students who may otherwise have continued to struggle in school or dropped out. We believe that each student is capable of academic success, and we adapt our program to fit each student's unique learning and personal needs.
At RMA, students have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma in an environment in which they feel safe, supported and valued. Our non-traditional program and student-centered approach to education make RMA a good fit for students who have experienced difficulty in school and are looking to make a change in their lives.
Our Mission
Richard Milburn Academy is committed to enabling each student to maximize learning opportunities, to achieve success and increase skills in the academic and work experience environment by offering a nontraditional academic, career and life skills program.
